Coming soon to a digital screen near you, the new edition of the CFA Guide to Sustainability is coming out in June 2025. If you’re looking to change the way your business operates for the better from a sustainability perspective, the new 2025–2026 issue of the publication is one to gain inspiration from.
The updated guide has an array of case studies, advice and company interviews which demonstrates how the industry is coming together. A leading example of this is a look back at the collaboration over the course of the CISUFLO project, an international project launched in June 2021 and ending this June, with the aim to work on new technologies and products to improve materials’ recovery and drive the flooring sector in Europe towards a circular economy. This includes brand new interviews with Ine De Vilder, research scientist at Centexbel, and project coordinator Guy Buyle; Robbert Wapstra, managing director of Edel Carpets; and Shaun Wadsworth, CFA and FITA training manager.
Other new features of the guide include F. Ball and Co. Ltd technical representative Alan McEwan’s support for working together and being proactive, his first comments on sustainability as the new CFA President, and a view from another industry with The Tile Association’s reflections on sustainable collaboration in the tiling sector. The addition of NBS’ sustainability webinars continues to grow the guide’s value for the specification sector and interested parties, alongside the annual inclusion of the Buyer’s Guide.
A variety of manufacturers and flooring contractors are also providing advice on how to collaborate and take action to become more sustainable, discussing topics ranging from recycling schemes to EPDs. These insights into flooring industry trends, regulations and policy showcases how the contract flooring industry is making sustainability progress, and highlights the growing importance of sustainability within changes taking effect and yet to come.
All this joins resources and news from the Construction Products Association, comments on sustainability and the future of flooring installation training, Carpet Recycling UK’s rebrand and new focus as the UK Sustainable Flooring Alliance (UKSFA), and much more. Packed full of everything you need to know about making the world a greener place and the steps you can make towards doing your part for the environment, the CFA Guide to Sustainability 2025–2026 is a key publication you won’t want to miss out on.
