Shaun Wadsworth Promoted to Deputy CEO

Shaun Wadsworth, working for the Contract Flooring Association (CFA), was promoted to Deputy CEO at the beginning of April. The Association wishes him every success.

Shaun joined the CFA in 2018 as Training Manager and has played a central role in shaping and expanding its training offer. During his time in post, he has overseen the further development of the Flooring Industry Training Association (FITA), including the successful introduction of apprenticeship delivery in 2021.

He has been instrumental in strengthening training pathways for the sector, contributing to the update of the Level 2 floorlayer apprenticeship standard and national occupational standards, as well as helping to secure increased funding for apprenticeships.

Shaun has also worked tirelessly to support members, particularly in Scotland, where his efforts were key in helping to safeguard apprenticeship delivery during a challenging period. His wider work has included championing skills development through initiatives such as the Future Fitter campaign and promoting sustainable and high-quality training for the next generation of floorlayers.

In recognition of his contribution to the industry, Shaun was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award at the 2024 CFJ Flooring Industry Awards.

Shaun’s commitment, leadership, and passion for training have made a lasting impact, and the CFA is confident he will continue to drive the Association forward in his new role.
