The Scottish networking lunch, golf competition and dinner took place on Thursday 27th August and was once again held at Kinross Golf Courses in Perthshire. The event was well supported by members, who enjoyed a full day of networking, golf and good company.
Thankfully, the rain held off for the day and, although there were a few spots of rain in the air, some would say it was perfect golfing weather. The day began with lunch before the competition got underway, with play taking place concurrently on both the Bruce and Montgomery courses. Both courses played well and provided an excellent test of golf, with the greens playing particularly quickly and adding an extra challenge for the competitors. Once the rounds were completed, players enjoyed a tasty two-course dinner.
The competition was closely fought, with Graham Sey taking first place with an impressive 40 points. Graham received the trophy, a fourball at The Belfry, a £100 American Golf voucher and a bottle of whisky. Chris McGarry finished in second place with 39 points, receiving a £100 American Golf voucher and a bottle, while Andrew Asmall took third place with 37 points and received a £50 American Golf voucher and a bottle. The remaining competitors were also awarded prizes in recognition of their participation.
