2026 CFA Golf Day at the Belfry

The CFA’s annual golf day made a welcome return to The Belfry in Sutton Coldfield on 23rd April, delivering a memorable day of competition, camaraderie and excellent conditions. Bathed in sunshine, the course was presented in superb condition and offered an enjoyable yet testing round for all involved.

This year saw 56 keen golfers take to the renowned Brabazon course, widely regarded as the spiritual home of the Ryder Cup. With its rich history and immaculate layout, it provided the perfect setting for what proved to be a highly competitive and thoroughly enjoyable event.

The day began with a warm welcome for all competitors, who were greeted with goody bags before enjoying a bacon roll and hot drink to prepare for the round ahead. The driving range was a hive of activity early on, as players took advantage of complimentary practice tokens to fine-tune their swings before heading out.

Out on the course, the challenges were varied and engaging, with the Longest Drive contest taking place on the 16th hole and Nearest the Pin on the 7th, both drawing plenty of competitive spirit and impressive efforts.

Following the round, players gathered to unwind with well-earned refreshments and a generous buffet while scores were finalised. The atmosphere remained lively as anticipation built ahead of the prize presentation.

The CFA received support from prize sponsors and extends its sincere thanks for their continued contribution in helping make the day such a success.

After a closely fought competition, this year’s winners were:

• Individual Winner: Kirk Nicol (of Ultrafloor team) – £100 Amazon voucher + trophy
• Individual Runner-up: Martyn Buonocore (of Stauf Adhesive UK Ltd team) – £50 Amazon voucher + trophy
• Winning Team: Ultrafloor – John Holcroft, Jason Reid, Carl Harper, Kirk Nicol – £30 Amazon voucher per team member + trophies
• Nearest the Pin: Martyn Buonocore – £30 Amazon voucher + trophy
• Longest Drive: Kirk Nicol – £30 Amazon voucher + trophy
