Aiming to continue 2026 with momentum and building on the success of FITA Digital, originally launched in 2021, I am thrilled to announce the launch of the FITA Digital App – an innovative ‘fitter’s mate’ designed exclusively for FITA course delegates and apprentices who have completed training at FITA’s training centres in Loughborough, England or Kirkcaldy, Scotland.
The FITA Digital App is a unique, industry-first tool providing on-demand support to help delegates refresh skills and knowledge already covered during practical training. Designed with the flooring installer in mind, the app complements hands-on learning rather than replacing it, reinforcing confidence and competence as learners return back to on-site installations post training.
At FITA, we understand that practical skills and accompanying knowledge are critical to a successful installation. However, for those that have recently learnt new skills or knowledge, retaining and applying in the field can sometimes be challenging once a training course is over.
Traditionally, FITA would provide paper-based course notes, which whilst informative were limited in the amount of support they offered post-training course. The FITA Digital App addresses this by offering bite-sized, accessible resources that reinforce best practice, ensuring that delegates remain confident and capable on site long after their initial training directly to their mobile device.
The launch of this app marks a significant step forward in our mission to blend traditional hands-on training with modern digital tools, supporting our delegates at every stage of their learning journey. It also clearly differentiates FITA from other training on the market, once again showing that FITA leads the way in the field of training in our sector. We recognise that excellence in flooring is not just discovered in a training environment, it is also built, maintained, and refined through ongoing support and refreshment of key skills.
